Description

The patient was an 80-year-old woman who had a history of treatment for malignant lymphoma that remained in remission for nearly 7 years after three recurrences. She was brought by ambulance to our emergency department, mainly due to sudden onset of breathing difficulty, and was found to have a mass localized in the subglottic region, which required emergency tracheotomy. Biopsy of the mass revealed recurrence of malignant lymphoma. At 1 month after the start of salvage chemotherapy for recurrent malignant lymphoma, her mass disappeared completely.
