Abstract
In this study, we demonstrated that PKC inhibitors significantly attenuated the cardioprotective effect produced by high-glucose (22 mM) treatment for 48 h against hypoxic injury in H9c2 cardiac cells. PKC activators mimicked the cardioprotective effect of high glucose. These results suggest a possible role of PKC activation in high-glucose-induced protection.<br>
