Abstract

The information center is the hub and glue of the National BioResource Project (NBRP). The center provides the NBRP portal site and has also contributed to the development of databases for diverse types of bioresources. The program covers information on experimental living organisms as the core of NBRP, and on specimens of biodiversity related to the activities of the Japan node of the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). The framework of the former and the information facility of the latter are introduced.<br>
