Abstract
58 site were selected from the grasslands of Liudogou in the northern part of the Loess Plateau in Shanxi to investigate soil and vegetation. These data were analyzed with multiple regression analysis in order to examine the soil factor of vegetation coverage. The soil pH, nitrogen and C/N ratio were significant factors of vegetation. These soil factors are influenced by the direction of the slope and position.
