抄録
Polyethylene oxide has been used for a long time as an additive in thin paper formula such as tissue and toilet paper by many paper manufacturers. Half a century has passed since polyethylene oxide was developed, and method for efficient use of polyethylene oxide has been changing as its molecular weight has become higher. This article introduces: technical concept of fiber dispersion systems with polyethylene oxide, effective application of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene oxide, improvement in productivity and cost by highly concentrated pulp slurry and perspective on technical evolution of polyethylene oxide in high speed paper production.
