Abstract

We have shown a method for non-surging of blowers by"the two-valve operation"on the delivery or the suction pipe line. In this paper we show the theoretical and experimental studies on the surge-preventing apparatus with automatic control. As a result, it has been clarified that this method is more useful and effective on the following matters than the others published before : (1) This apparatus and operation are simple, (2) this method can be controlled in high stability, and (3) the loss of energy for eliminating surging is relatively small.
