抄録

In order to clarify the effect of the shape of notches, Lueders' bands and strain figures developed in notched steel-plates are observed in detail during the plastic stage of pure bending. The test pieces used are 0.34%C carbon steel plates having a single U notch. The bending moment-deflection curves are obtained throughout the elastic-plastic stage of bending and the values of bending moment defined as the yield-point bending moment are obtained for each notch. Constraint factors for each notch are given and the influence of the shape of notch on the factors is investigated. Comparison is made with the theoretical results obtained previously for the cases of plane strains.
