     In this paper, I investigate the role of cultural capital in both social reproduction and educational reproduction processes. Especially, I clarify the reproduction process of cultural capital, using data from a random probability sample of men and women, 20-69 years old, in Kobe, Japan. The analyses show that the structure of cultural activities is different between men and women, and the components of high-cultural activities are similar among them. For women, the participation in high-cultural activities increases their family status. But for men, it does not increase their family status. LISREL models show that the inherited cultural capital has direct and indirect effects on cultural capital appeared as men's high-cultural activities. Cultural reproduction contributes to reproduction of social class. In cultural reproduction process, education has no direct effect on high-cultural activities.
