Description

We propose basic thesis on discourse analysis in order to establish it as one methods of empirical sociology. First, discourse analysts can't go outside of discursive space they belong to. But it doesn't make discourse analysis impossible. Second, discourse analysis suppose the totality of discursive space virtually. Thirdly, discourse analysts suppose the objectivity of existence of discourses, and they analyse the process of formations and transformations of discursive space as social fact. The main question is “Why is this particular discourse, not anything else, presented?”. Fourthly, discourse analysts problematize “Why anybody told similar discourses at one time-space?” rather than “Who told?”.
