Description
There are various types of non-adherent wound dressing. The main purpose of using such dressings is to provide painless treatment for skin ulcers. When we applied non-adherent wound dressings to diabetic ulcers, leg ulcers, and malignant tumors, good clinical outcomes in terms of epithelization and the exudate produced by skin ulcers were obtained in addition to reductions in treatment-induced pain. Furthermore, we examined the bacterioflora at sites at which skin grafts were covered with non-adherent wound dressings, and normal flora and perfect graft survival were observed in all cases except one, in which Pseudomonas aeruginosa was detected. This non-adherent wound dressing is useful for treating skin ulcers and facilitating skin grafts.Skin Research, 15: 101-106, 2016
