<p>Abstract : Mandibular first and second premolars usually have a single root with a single canal. However, these teeth will sometimes have an aberrant anatomy. This case report describes successfully performing orthograde and retrograde endodontic treatment on anomalous premolars. Anomalous morphology of these teeth was diagnosed by using a dental microscope with the aid of a cone-beam CT.</p><p> Cone-beam CT images providing detailed three-dimensional images of such things as teeth, root canal morphology and surrounding tissues were useful for both orthograde and retrograde endodontic treatments using the dental microscope.</p>
