Abstract
ora lutea, the number of embryos or embryonic survival rate in gilts investigated feeding standard diet (DCP: 9.7%, TDN: 67.2%, feeding level: 2.7kg per head daily). No significant correlation was observed between plasma Alp activity and the number of corpora lutes or the number of viable embryos. However, there was a significant correlation (r=0.494, P⟨0.01) between plasma Alp activity and embryonic survival rate. The regression equation was Y=27.682+69.296 log X (Y=embryonic survival rate, %; X=plasma alkaline phosphatase activity, K-A unit). This equation may be helpful for rough estimation of embryonic survival rate in groups of pregnant swine without killing them.
