Abstract

Properties of antigenic substances of human blood groups in goat saliva were studied and the results are as follows.<BR>1) In goat saliva, the antigenic substances of human blood groups, A, B and 0, are secreted.<BR>2) Antigenic substances in goat saliva consist of the following partial antigens.<BR>A antigen: AIAIIAIIIAIV or AIIIAIV<BR>B antigen: BIIBIII<BR>O antigen: OIOIIOIII or OIIOIII or OIII<BR>3) It is due to serological constitution that saliva of each goat has its own antigenic substances of different types. The frequency of the type of AIAIIAIIIAIV, BII BIII, OI OII OIII was 58% (29 of 50), which was the highest of all.
