Abstract

アズキゾウムシの交尾フェロモン, erectin, は単独では活性のない二つの区分-callosobruchusic acid と炭化水素混合物からなる. この酸部分の合成を geranyl acetate を原料として試み, (E)-および (Z)-3,7-dimethyl-2-octenedioic acid を得た. マメゾウムシ雌より採集した炭化水素混合物と合わせて交尾行動解発性をしらべたところ, E形だけが活性をしめしたので, これが callosobruchusic acid であることを明らかにした. 炭化水素区分は別に合成済である.
