Description

Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) aims to create Innovation as a core organization for implementing Japan's science and technology policy in line with the objectives of the Science and Technology Basic Plan. JST is promoting of consistent research and development from basic research to commercialization with particular emphasis on the creation of new technological seeds. And also, JST is upgrading the international infrastructure for the promotion of science and technology, including dissemination of scientific and technological information. This paper describes two programs which have strong ties to International Industry-Academia Collaboration Activities. One is the "JST Patent Application Support System to Overseas" which supports patent application to overseas originated from Universities and TLO's research activities. The other is the "JST Strategic International Cooperative Program" which supports the international exchanges between researchers.<br>
