Abstract
The purpose of this study is to make a database of the consumption of energy and water connected to commercial buildings in the Hokushinetsu area. Data was collected from a questionnaire to investigate the amount of energy and water consumed during commercial buildings in the Hokushinetsu area. In this paper, we report our method of research, as well as the outline of the targeted commercial buildings. The number of target buildings was 1,055. Next, we report the actual amount of energy consumed during offices, computer centers, public offices, commercial facilities (ex. supermarkets), accommodations, hospitals, educational facilities, cultural buildings, complex facilities.
