抄録

The present paper proposes a method for evaluating bridge team performance by using of simulation. The authors focus on watch keeping performance of bridge team since it is one of main cause of maritime accidents such as collisions and watch keeping process is easier to be captured and recorded than that of decision making process. Simulation model is developed based on simulator training data and task network modeling technique for evaluating bridge team performance which is defined as time to detect appearance and movement change of vessels.The validity of the method is examined by two ways. First, the performance simulated by the model is compared with the observed performance by a real team. Second, the simulated performance of various team settings is compared. The result shows the proposed method is useful for evaluating bridge team performance.
