This study analyzes structure and characteristics of residents' evaluation on their common spaces through questionnaire and field investigation surveys at detached houses areas having “parking-common-space”(parking areas which residents own as a common space), and finally concludes as follows:<BR>1. For “parking-common-space”, residents give higher evaluation on larger common spaces and more trees in common spaces;<BR>2. Residents' evaluation on their common spaces depends upon type of use of common spaces, frequency of use of common spaces, contribution of common spaces to formulating a better landscape and degree of burden to maintain common spaces well condition; and<BR>3. A cooperative maintenance of common spaces such as trees and green areas can help to strengthen residents' community, and contribute to formulate a better landscape in the areas.
