Description
Based on molecular phylogeny and morphological characteristics, Pieris shangrilla sp. nov. is described from North Yunnan. The new species resembles Sinopieris davidis (Oberthur 1876) and Sinopieris venata (Leech 1891), but is distinguished from them by the wing markings, androconia and the shape of the uncus and valva of the male genitalia.
