<p>非侵襲的陽圧換気療法（Noninvasive Positive Pressure Ventilation: 以下NPPV）を受けている慢性呼吸不全患者の内的体験を明らかにすることを目的に質的研究を行った．NPPV療法を受けている患者は，アンビバレントな認知，感情を抱きながらも，さまざまな出来事に対して背を向けるのではなく，NPPV療法と向き合い，“今”を大切に生きていた．看護職者として，苦痛の早期緩和，重要他者との関係性構築の促進，自尊感情および気力の維持・向上を支援することの重要性が示唆された．</p>
