Abstract

In Japan, “Healthy Japan 21 (the second term)” plan that period is 10 years from 2013 was established and all of prefectures and municipalities are supposed to establish a health promotion plan to implement many activities about health promotion in the municipal unit. It is obliged to set the evaluation index in all municipalities and objective evaluation based on the numerical value has been required for the second term plan. However, the difference of evaluation contents between municipalities has been reported in recent years, management measures for improvement is an urgent necessity.<br>In this study, as a case study of Aichi Prefecture municipalities, we analyzed the structure of evaluation activity that are described in some of the second municipal health promotion plans. This paper has two main purposes. First one is discussing the factors occur the difference about evaluation contents between municipalities. The second one is suggesting the way of effective health promotion plan evaluation from now on.
