Description
Since explosive or inflammable items, such as aerosol cans and gas cartridges, are also contained in household waste, many fire accidents occur annually in collection vehicles and processing facilities nationwide. Effective accident prevention measures are urgently required. In this study, after a questionnaire on residents was first conducted, an analysis based on the two-phase model was done to understand source separation behaviors for dealing with aerosol cans and what factors can direct human behavior. It was made apparent that in order to gain cooperation from residents, the necessary information should be well publicized, PR enlightenment must be age-specific and there should be sufficient information so as to avoid carelessness. The model in this study takes safe action into consideration as well as how consciousness and behavior relates to environmental problems. We believe that effective knowledge for the prevention of a fire-related accident generated by improper aerosol can disposal in a collection vehicle has been provided.
