Abstract
A 44-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of an abdominal tumor. abdominal ultrasonography, CT and MRI revealed a well defined mass about 7cm in diameter around the aorta. The tumor was diagnosed as neurogenic tumor or hemangioma, and an operation was performed. Histological diagnosis was ectopic pheochromocytoma. The patient had no clinical symptoms suggestive of pheochromocytoma. This was an extremely rare case of asymptomatic ectopic pheochromocytoma.
