抄録

The purpose of this paper is to explore how the experiences of providing child care support is understood by analyzing the talk of the support providers. The idea of child care support implicates the reorganization of conventional public/private distinction. But, on the other hand, the idea that the family should take responsibility of child care still remains. This circumstance can lead the support providers to face the dilemma between providing the support and normative family responsibility. To define their support as family support is useful for avoiding the dilemma, but specificity of their task is inevitable under the circumstances where they cannot make a satisfactory relationship with the parents. On condition that the providers can specify the recipients, working on the creation of the specified support recipients can be a practical solution for providing child care support as family support.
