Description
There are many implications whether we need family. I distinguish two types of needs for family. One is need in the meaningful world, the other one is need in the functional world. Especially, in recent years we must anaryze the need of identity (need of the family in these meaningful world) that cannot be reduce to functional needs.
In the first modern family, these two types of needs have been combined by the family myths that the satisfaction of the functional needs means the satisfaction of meaningful needs.
While the second modernity has been spreading, individualization is on move. As a result, every family myths are criticized. When myths of family are missed, the dissatisfaction of family comes to the surface and systems of all of the demand of family are under conpetitionunder the market mechanizm. That trends leads the increase of people who cannot satisfy need of identity or functional needs.
