Abstract

  The purpose of present studies is to clarify the role how newcomersʼexistence plays in a reproduction of the regional society.<br>  It is necessary to assume “Shimokawa industrial cluster society"of Shimokawatown of the Hokkaido kamikawa county to be a case, and to search for the view of the endogenous development in the depopulation mountainous village region, while chasing the process of study-exchange between newcomers and living people.<br>  As one aspect of this analysis, did the living people how catch new life sense of values and the lifestyle that newcomersʼhad brought in, and how found potential and possibilities in the region where they lived voluntarily?<br>  The role that newcomersʼexistence had played in a reproduction of the regional society was considered, while observing the development process of the regional reproduction movements invented from newcomersʼand living peopleʼs cross hauling.<br>  Findings obtained by the results of this investigation are following four points. First, as for the industrial cluster society that was cooperative laver organization between newcomers and living people, it had the function of collaborative learning, newcomersʼoutsider aspect was received here by the living people, and the review of regional resources was performed. Secondarily, newcomersʼwho in spite of short migrations in the process of the collaborative learning had build up trustful relations with the living people. Thirdly, the activity spreads to the region such networks and information and is activated though many of newcomersʼused networks that have constructed it and an external resource before the migration. Lastly, regional activities have been activated because of centering on the industrial cluster society as a further target group.
