Description

 In this paper, the aim and procedure are reported about "model production training of single-layered lattice roof" that carried out in Saga University in 2010.<br> This training has two major features. One is to determine the equilibrium shapes of geometry of single-layered lattice roof by numerical analysis based on geometrical nonlinearity theory, and the other is to construct "the miniature model" made of straws, patinko globes and magneto bars, using the data obtained by the numerical analysis.<br> Through this training, the students succeeded in acquiring "sense of mechanics" which is very useful even in real construction sites.
