Abstract

Four autopsy cases of Aortic Dissection (Dissecting Aneurysm) were reported.<BR>Two cases of myocardial infarction, one case of ileus and one case of cerebral apoplexy were principal symptoms in these reported cases. Histologically, there were idiopathic cystic medionecrosis in 3 cases, and syphilitic mesoaortitis was suspected in one case. It seems more compatible to denominate this disease as Aortic Dissection than Dissecting Aneurysm.
