Abstract

In this paper, an automatic curve tracer, using a light spot and a photo-tube, is discussed.<BR>The behavior of the tracer is fully analized for a part of curve where the tracing head passes from a straight line to a circle, since practically, the majority of the curves determining the shape of the plate to be cut are composed of straight lines and circles.<BR>The analysis can be easily applied to the reversed case, i. e., the tracing head passes from a circle to a straight line.
