抄録

With this manuscript, was required from the teacher of the pre-world war 2 small school, as part of the historical research regarding the teacher forming system in our country, examination is tried through the certificate examination for teachers which keeps being institutionalized in Meiji period concerning "qualification as the teacher". In the first paragraph, concerning whether the test for teacher raw through the analysis of contents of school rules of the Aichi teacher school and the Gifu prefecture teacher school, how was done you considered. In the second paragraph, it examined the school test rule of the Gifu prefecture teacher school as an example, concerning the type and appraisal etc of certificate examination for teachers. In the third paragraph, even in something with related to over-all judgment of the test which is touched in the foregoing paragraph for the eye conferment circumstance of the diploma was considered. By the consideration above, although it is limited teacher school rules where the following point is deduced to the examination of the first, it was possible to make one end of the institutional framework in certificate examination for teachers which starts in educational system period clear. The point that the soft appraisal which "normally utilizes no scholastic ability" had done the over-all judgment which also appraisal of school life of the pupil includes regarding the second, Gifu prefecture teacher school as a basis, became clear. The case of the third, Gifu prefecture teacher school as for it is the center ideal way of the diploma, but as a qualification of the small school teacher and it was possible to make the meaning of the existence surface. Furthermore, in the future, as search for the actual condition of educational system period is advanced, and directing the eye period in system development of the whole Meiji, we would like to expand the width of research in analysis the sides which especially this time you could not consider.
