Abstract

The author proposes a new theory of an incomplete composite rectangular beam composed of two rectangular beams of different shear modulus combined at their sides, on the basis of St. Venant's torsional theory, and examines the torsional moment and the stress distribution in the bond surface by means of numerical calculation.
