No apparatus has been developed to measure a weight of running materials such as fabrics, sheets and others in dyeing and finishing processes.<BR>Recently, the author has realized this apparatus for practical use, named “automatic sheet weigher”. The outline of the apparatus is as follows. The apparatus is able : <BR>1) to detect, indicate and record automatically and continuously the weight of running fabrics in dyeing and finishing processes.<BR>2) to indicate and record directly the percentage of water content in running fabrics, by pre-fixing the dry weight of the fabrics and by measuring the weight of fabrics.<BR>3) to indicate and record the uniformity of weight and water content in width direction.<BR>This apparatus can be used in the field of paper, plastic, metal and other industry in which manufacturing processes are controlled automatically.
