説明

Silica stabilized dolomite clinker has mineralogical composition similar to Portland cement clinker. The authors applied the following lime saturation value to stabilized dolomite clinker and studied correlation among the mineralogical composition, antislaking properties and softening temperature under load.
L.S.V=2.8SiO2%+1.1Al2O3%+0.7Fe2O3%/CaO%×100
Results are summarized as follows :
(1) With disappearance of free CaO and increase of 3CaO·SiO2, softening temperature falls off. Apparent porosity increases as 2CaO·SiO2 increases, while softening temperature tends to go down. Also the formation of 3CaO·MgO.2SiO2 results in a rapid falling of softeninig temperature.
(2) The existence of low melting minerals, such as 4CaO·Al2O3·Fe2O3, 2CaO·Fe2O3 and 3CaO·Al2O3, has considerable effect upon softening temperature. The effect of 4CaO·Al2O3·Fe2O3 is most pronounced.
