抄録
Satomi Tunnel is one of the long tunnels with the 2, 484m length for the Hokuriku Shin-kansen peoject under construction by Japan Railway Construction Pubric Corporation. The convergence shrank by 400mm because of weakend tuff and mud stone with fracture zone at the 120m-length tunnel support which is 140m below the ground level. Under these geological conditions, the tunnel was safely constructed by choosing the mini-bench method using the conbination of multi-functional gantry-jumbo and the roadheader for the full-face excavation, choosing adequate support systems based on geological conditions and monitoring results, and selecting secondary support systems.
