抄録

(1) The article shows how to calculate the distribution and mean value of the staple length of output slivers from the density function of breaking points, breaking delivery points and staple length of input slivers.<BR>(2) The ratio of the number of staples produced of ter draft breaking of input long staples, in the distribution of staple length of the output sliver, is much influenced not only by the ratio of the number of long staples in the input sliver but also by the length of the long staples. The longer the length, the larger the ratio. For instance, even if the number of long staples to be draft broken in the input sliver is small and if their length is very long, the distribution of breaking points and of breaking delivery points influence greatly the distribution of staple length of the output slivers.<BR>(3) Some examples of calculation of the density function and mean value of staple length of the output sliVers are shown.
