Abstract

Togura section in Gorigamine Tunnel, which is now under construction for Hokuriku Shinkansen, is double track tunnel and its length is about 6km. Rapid construction system is required in the site because the section should be complectcd within 3 years. This paper reports the outline of the tunnel construction, especially improved machine equipments planning for rapid construction and probing aheadwhich would enable rapid construction.
