Description
It has become necessary to evaluate the flow and deformation of fresh concrete more scientifically with the development of new methods for concreting practice through automation and systematization, and new concretes such as super-plasticized concrete, fiber reinforced concrete, and underwater concrete in recent years. In this paper, earlier works on the slump test of fresh concrete are reviewed from the point of view of rheology. The mechanism of slump test, relationships between slump value and rheological constants, simulation techniques of the fluidity of fresh concrete and estimation methods of rheological constants by the slump test are reported herein.
