Description

The wave of systematization by use of computers as a major tool has surged in the medical field where modernization in the various aspects to begin with the administrative organization has lagged behind. The diffusion of medical information systems mainly for hospital information is changing image of traditional hospitals or what hospitals should be radically. The author describes objectives, history and present situation of computer use in hospitals introducing the case of hospital information system of Kurashiki Central Hospital.
