Description

This paper describes the details of the 3rd edition of JICST Classification Table (issued in 1981), and outline of its revision. The new edition keeps the same scheme as that of the 1st edition, but mainly with purpose to enhance classification items and improve its convenience. UDC numbers which are assigned corresponding to concepts of JICST classification were reviewed according to the latest edition of UDC. The new Table will be used for JICST files starting in 1993.
