Abstract

R&D and information management on R&D in NGK Insulators, Ltd. are introduced. “Information” plays a very important role in conducting R&D efficiently and effectively and obtaining the good results of R&D. It is especially significant to collect technical data and documents continuously, combine them together to produce various knowledge, integrate those into one database, share that integrated knowledge with researchers and engineers inside, and utilize it. The authors and their colleagues have actualized the better R&D information management system with integrated R&D database.
