Abstract

A digital library is a very critical issue in universities. Recently, most universities have been developing digital libraries with heavy investment of budget and labours. This article describes the current status of digital libraries of Korean universities. To this end, it introduces some digital library projects supported by the government and library consortiums for information sharing and joint acquisition of expensive digital databases. It also briefly examines information service organizations and digitalization policy which the government supports and plans for the preparation of the Digital Age.
