Description

With the latest advance of computer technology, the computer network is becoming the other research environment for scientists. Even in the life science fields, the needs for constructing the factual databases, those are the information sources for research, have been growing bigger. However, facilitating factual databases are not yet enough, factual databases should be systematically constructed and prepared to meet the needs. This paper describes the accumulation of data and systematizing them and opening them to the public, by giving an example of the existing factual databases in the life science fields.
