Description

A knowledge-based system with an emerging representation scheme capturing and reusing ‘Expert engineering knowledge and know-how’ for supporting design and manufacturing processes has been developed. The implemented system SHI-NAN-SHA provides expert work procedures with flow chart and relating information such as constraints and conditions or engineering rationale. The system enables junior engineers to follow or improve the best-in-class work done by veterans, and materializes the high averaging quality and delivery level for design and manufacturing.
