Abstract

A new method “Ureter tuberculin reaction” is proposed for diagnosis which kidney is affected in case of chronic kidney tuberculosis. This method is based on Oppenheim's “Urethra tuberculin reaction”. The proposed method is as follows. First a ureter catheter examination of the patient suffering from chronic kidney tuberculosis is made.<br>Then 2 or 3cc of tuberculin (5 times diluted) is poured into the ureters of both sides. After several hours, an interesting phenomenon occurs: there is pain upon pressure on the side of the affected kidney at the lower part of the abdomen, but not on the side of the healthy kidney. For instance, in cases of left kidney tuberculosis, pain can be proven on the left side of the abdomen, but not on the right side. Consequently, it is possible to diagnose which kidney is affected which tuberculosis by the existance of pain upon pressure.
