This paper discusses an onboard large-volume Ka band communication tests between ship and shore through WINDS (Wideband Inter Networking engineering test and Demonstration Satellite) using the stabilizing platform. In the movable satellite communication, it is necessary to not only cancel the ship's rolling, pitching and yawing motions but also to track for the change caused by satellite's azimuth and elevation. In this paper, for cancelling the ship's motions, an autoregressive model for feed forward signal is adopted. With regard to yawing, PD feedback control system is adopted. The objective of this study is to verify the performance of stabilizing platform and the validity of this stabilizing platform on the movable ships without the feedback control by using some beam signal from the satellite.
