Abstract
Human visual characteristics have been elucidated in psychology and medicine. However, many signal processes in the brain have not been elucidated. To elucidate the cause of the illusion, it is expected to lead to elucidation of detailed mechanism of the visual system. In this paper, we propose the computation model of illusion of Hellman grid image. The Illusion that dark spot appears on the intersection of the white line is simulated by wavelet transform. Also, we reproduced the phenomenon that the dark spot disappears in attention by the computation model based on spatial frequency. Additionally, the experiment was conducted for showing the relationship between illusion and brightness perception, and the validity of the proposed method was confirmed.
