Abstract
The purpose of this study was to clarify the conditions of the stores other than the wholesale business which may experience in a wholesale business complex. We analyzed the characteristics and factors of new stores accumulation in Toiya-cho district, Kita-ku, Okayama city, where the quantity of stores other than wholesale business located in a wholesale business complex has recently increased. It has become clear from analysis that Toiya-cho district changed from a wholesale business complex to a commercial district with special characteristics of a wholesale business complex. In order for stores other than wholesale business to be run, it is important to consider the characteristics of a wholesale business complex.
