Description
This paper aims to clarify the structure of Cultural Landscape, which was existed in our daily life, but disappeared in a rapid urbanization since 1960's. The target area was Mita Waterway, which was established in the midst of 17th century for providing water to the fringe areas of Edo. The following three points were clarified. Firstly, the characteristics of Cultural Landscape of Mita waterway is the development of gardens and sightseeing places, utilizing the difference of the height between plateau and valley. Even though these assets were fragmented we clarified many assents were remained as pieces. Secondly, based on of above results, we made the Cultural Landscape Structure Map. Thirdly, we proposed the potential map of Cultural Landscape as the efficient method for the restoration planning of Cultural Landscape.
