A case of malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) in the right maxillary sinus of a 73year-old female is reported.<BR>Thirty five years previously, the patient had been treated with surgery and irradiation for right maxillary sinus cancer. The tumor was noticed in maxillary sinus and orbit by MRI. The pathological diagnosis was malignant fibrous histiocytoma.<BR>The feeder artery of the tumor was radiollogically com f irmed and selectively embolized, followed by systemic chemotherapy but the growth of the tumor was not successfully controlled. The clinical course suggested that this case might be a radiation induced MFH. We emphasized that surgical total removal is the best treatment for MFH.
