Abstract
A borehole sample of Joban coalfield area reached the basement granitoids. The granitoids yield SHRIMP zircon U-Pb ages of 293±1.8 Ma (827.0 -827.3 m), 300.3±1.5 Ma (962.0 -962.2 m) and 304.3±1.7 Ma (1003.8 -1004.0 m). The ages indicate that multiple igneous activities occurred there. On the other hand, metamorphic age of Yamagami metamorphic rocks is around 300 Ma. In this area, a disposition of granitoid and coetaneous accretionary complex is "inside out". We seem that there were some tectonic movements like lateral and/or nappe constructing the inside out disposition.
